just multiply 3.5 multipied by 7 and you'll get your answer.

If k = 1 kitten then
k > 3.5 ounces

If we have 7 kittens, then

Litter > 7k
Litter > 7 (3.5)
Litter > 24.5 ounces

The litter weighs greater than 24.5 ounces.
