The main function of the pulmonary alveoli is to perform the transfer and exchange of gases. In this case, the following gases are included: a) oxygen, c) carbon dioxide and d) gases.
Of the elements listed, the only one that is not transferred by the alveoli is the blood, which corresponds to letter b).
