A garden is in the shape of a rectangle and has a perimeter of 58 yards. The length of the garden is 5 more than twice the width. Find the dimensions of the garden

p = 58
L = 2W + 5

58 = 2L + 2W
58 = 2 (2W +5) + 2W
58 = 4W + 10 + 2W
58 = 6W + 10
48 = 6W
8 = W
So length is
L = 2 (8)+5 = 16+5=21
