Quebec was once a colony of France because of this French explorer and navigator Samuel de Champlain exactly in the year 1608. He went through the St. Lawrence River and there he made a name "le Canada." But before Samuel de Champlain explored Quebec, it was once a home of a small Iroquois village known as "Stadacona." After the successful colonization of Samuel, he created a wooden fort that opens maritime trading for economic exchanges.
