Heat can be calculated using the following formula:  

        q=mcΔT

m=mass of the substance

c=specific heat

ΔT=temperature difference  

    =(0.3850 (J/g)⋅∘C) x (720.0 g) x (27.71- 15.29)∘C  

         =(  0.3850  x  720  x 12.42) J

         =3442.8 J

So, 3442.8 J of energy required to heat a section of the copper tubing that weighs about 720.0g from 15.29 degrees to 27.71 degrees.
