2.5kg of soil will be required.

Amount of soil needed per plant sample = 250 grams

Number of plant samples = 10

Therefore, in order to get the total amount of soil that's needed will be:

= Amount of soil needed per plant sample × Number of plant samples

= 250g × 10

= 2500g

= 2.5kg

Therefore, 2.5kg of soil will be required.

Note that 1000gram = 1kg
