The group that didn't support Jimmy Carter in his campaign in 1976 was the Evangelical Christian, since during said campaign the Playboy magazine published an interview in which Carter admitted to having wanted other women than his wife. This meant a cut into support among the Christian community. Anyway, Jimmy Carter won the elections on November 2, 1976, and became President of the United States.
