basically it is saying that you are going to end up where YOU take yourself. its up to you where you will go....

you could say to someone that youd like to have a huge mansion by next year and they could reply " in you hands lie your destination"


you will go wherever you take yourself.

I think it means that it's your choice of where you want to go. Like what you want to do in your life. Or the decisions you make that changes the "road" your on.
