Midpoint

M((Px + Qx)/2, (Py + Qy)/2)

Distance

d = √((Px - Qx)^2 + (Py - Qy)^2)

For example

M((-5 + 3)/2, (2 + (-4))/2) = M(-1, -1)

Distance

d = √((-5 - 3)^2 + (2 - (-4))^2) = √(64 + 36) = 10
