1) y = 3x+4 and y = 1/3x+2

Answer:

y = 3·x + 4

y = 1/3·x + 2

3·x + 4 = 1/3·x + 2

3·x - 1/3·x = 2 - 4

8/3·x = -2

8·x = -6

x = -6/8 = -3/4 = -0.75

y = 3·(-0.75) + 4 = 1.75
