he is both because he fought for civil rights for people but he did it violently.he is more hero but little villian.Short answer hero.
This would depend on who you ask. Some people believe that Malcolm X is a Civil Rights leader who helped usher in Civil Rights. Others say he is a Islamic extremist and encouraged anti-white terrorism. My suggestion is you look at what the man has done and said, and decide for yourself.
