Anthropo- relates to human, whereas osteo- relates to bone. The word anthropo- comes from the Greek word "anthropos" meaning human being. And the word osteo- comes from the English word osteo- meaning bone. An example with the word anthropo- is anthropology, which means the study of humans. An example with osteo- is osteoporosis which means porous or brittle bones.
