you must try and master of meter, rhythm, and time. you need to be must be clear and concise in their conducting patterns. And all i can really think of rn. Hope i helped. :)
Confidence plays a major role. I tried out for drum major, and it was nerve wracking. But holding your head up high, taking deep breaths, and having confidence in yourself helps a lot
