The lateral area of a cube is one hundred forty-four square kilometers. What is its side length?

Lateral area is the total surface area. A cube has 6 faces.

Lateral area = 6x²

6x² = 144

x² = 144/6

x² = 24

x² = √24

x ≈ 4.899 km
