Distance between points P and Q :

[tex](x_1,x_2),(x_2,y_2)[/tex]

[tex] \sqrt{(x_2-x_1)^2+(y_2-y_1)^2}[/tex]

[tex]= \sqrt{(-2-5)^2+(2-(-5)^2} [/tex]

[tex]= \sqrt{( -7^2)+(2+5)^2} [/tex]

[tex] \sqrt{49+49} = \sqrt{98} [/tex]

[tex]= 7 \sqrt{2} [/tex]

hope this helps!
