Steps:

1. Find distance between (-8,-6) and (4,-6) using distance formula:

√ (4 - (-8))^2 + ((-6) - (-6))^2
√ (12)^2 + (0)^2
√ 144 + 0
√ 144

2. Find distance between (1,2) and (8,2) using distance formula:

√ (8-1)^2 + (2-2)^2
√ (7)^2 + (0)^2
√ 49 + 0
√ 49

3. Multiply found values to find area

A = l x w
