Yo get a perpendicular line you have to have the reciprocal of the slope, in this case the slope is -2/5 so the reciprocal is 5/2. You then plug the coordinates in for y and x with the slope you found to find b (or the y-intercept). The equation will be 2=-6(5/2)+b. Solve and b=17. The final equation is y=(5/2)x+17
