Area of figure = Area of circle (2 semicircles) + Area of square.

For circle,

Area = πr²

⇒ Area = (3.14)(2)² cm² (d = 4 cm)

⇒ Area = (3.14)(4) cm² = 12.56 cm²

For square,

Area = side × side = s²

⇒ Area = (4)² cm² = 16 cm²

∴ Total area = 12.56 cm² + 16 cm² = 28.56 cm² (C).
