Please explain how to solve y=2x+4 and y=x-3 (EXPLAIN please, not doing the work)

both equations are equal to y, so set them equal to each other forming an equation in x

2x+4=x-3
-x -x
1x+4= -3
-4 -4
x= -7

You just plug in the value of x which is -7

Y= -7-3
Y= -10
