Step-by-step explanation:

If you extend the line on the left up to the top, it forms a triangle.  The three interior angles of that triangle are 50, 180-x, and 180-x.  

50+180-x+180-x=180

410-2x=180

410-180=2x

230=2x

x=115°

Another way to look at it: Since two of the angles in the triangle are the same, they must total 130.  (180-50=130)

130 ÷2 equals 65.  If those angles are 65, x=180-65=115°
