How did the internment of Japanese Americans during world war 2 conflict with American ideals

They were conflicted with the ideals by taking away the Pursuit of Happiness. The Japanese Americans were unable to live freely in America due to fear of them being spies. The had to live in camps, where they were taken care of poorly and didn't have the opportunities to achieve what they came here to achieve in the first place.
