We need to look at the number after the tenth, called the 'hundredth'. If the hundredth is 5 or above, we must change the hundredth to 0 and make the tenth one higher.

In this case, the hundredth is 9 and is above 5, so it becomes 0 and the tenth moves higher to become 9.

The number will now be 1.9
