Lets first put all the known information into the point-slope form:

   [tex]y-y_{0} =m(x-x_{0} )[/tex]

  • [tex](x_{0},y_{0} ) = (-4,-5)[/tex]
  • m (slope) : 1/2

   [tex](y+5)=\frac{1}{2}(x+4) \\y + 4 = \frac{1}{2} x+2\\[/tex]

To put it into slope-intercept form, we must solve for y:

  [tex]y = \frac{1}{2} x -2[/tex]

Hope that helps!
