Why has Mars been more studied with telescopes than Jupiter

Mars has been studied with telescopes more than Jupiter because it is closer to Earth, which makes it easier to study. Although Jupiter IS a large planet, it is just too far for scientists to study constantly. Mars also has a thin atmosphere, making it a lot easier for us to see it.
