The rectangle is 6·5 which is 30. The triangle is a little harder but just has one extra step. The length is 6 and the height shown is 2. The figure is only half of a rectangle though because it's a triangle, so you divide by 2. Six times two= 12. Divided by 2 equals 6. Now add to find the total. 30+6= 36 units squared.
