The amount of molecules in the food is what that determines how much energy a human can receive from food. Food energy is a chemical energy that organisms intake via cellular respiration. Remember, all foods have chemical energy! For instance, dark chocolate. Dark chocolate is composed of calories. What are calories? Calories have a measurement of energy gathered in it.
