A two phase mixture is a mixture of two different substances. for example, a soft drink ( liquid and gas). to separate these two substances, you could heat the liquid and then capture the carbon dioxide.Also this is a question you need to answer for yourself there is many answers.

Water and salt, you add them and mix. To separate you would boil the water, the salt would remain while the water would evaporate. Let me know if this helps.
