The Boston tea party occurred because the colonists were angry that they were being taxed so much by the British on everything they bought. So they wanted to rebel and threw a bunch of tea into a lake. Because the colonists started to boycott so much the British passed a new act. The coercive act. Hope this helps. Sorry if it doesn’t.
