That cannot be possible, but if so, then we would not have enough time to hide from it and also, it may ruin the world and cause huge amounts of damage.

going there.  Go ahead and make up some exciting result. 
Don't worry about whether it's possible or not.  Just make it
exciting.  It'll be just as true as a tornado reaching the speed of light.
