we have that
y=(1/2)x+1

we know that

as a  y-coordinate of 5

therefore
I substitute the value of y = 5 in the equation of the line
5=
(1/2)x+1--------> 5-1=(1/2)x------> 4=(1/2)x-----> 8=x
x=8

the answer is
