Accessing a system of computers without authorization is considered to be a network intrusion. Network intrusion is one type of method of attack with a serious security risk in a network environment. 
In order to examine network traffic and to detect and prevent vulnerability exploits an Intrusion Prevention System (IPS) should be used in the network.
