First you turn the mixed fraction into an improper fraction and work out 2-13 :
1/4y + 3/2 + - 11/4y-12
Then factorise :
1/4y + 3/2 - 11/4(y-3)
Then factor out y :
Y(y-3)+6(y-3)-11 / 4(y-3)
Then expand :
Y^2-3y+6y-18-11 / 4y-12
Simplify for your final answer :
y^2+3y-29 / 4y-12
